Türkei entwickelt selbstfahrendes Fahrzeug

Das von den Technologieunternehmen FEV-Türkei und Kodeco entwickelte elektrisierte und autonome Fahrzeug wurde erstmals auf einem Campus erfolgreich getestet.

Weitere Tests sollen mit Unterstützung des Rektorats der Technischen Universität Istanbul auf dem Uni-Gelände in Ayazağa folgen. Das autonome Fahrzeug wird zum späteren Zeitpunkt für kurze Strecken innerhalb von Unis, Krankenhäusern oder Flughäfen zum Einsatz kommen.

Das Otomod wird mit seinen Sensoren und Kameras Fußgänger und Fahrzeuge in seiner Umgebung wahrnehmen können und darauf reagieren. Unterdessen wird eine Smartphone-App für Passagiere entwickelt. Das Fahrzeug wird eine maximale Geschwindigkeit von 45 Km/h erreichen.
