Britischer Botschafter: Ich liebe die Türkei und die Türken sehr

Der britische Botschafter in Ankara, Richard Moore hat sich auf Türkisch verabschiedet. Die Dienstzeit von More ist zu Ende gegangen.

Der Botschafter postete auf Twitter eine Videobotschaft auf Türkisch. Der Titel des Videos lautet „Meine Abschiedsbotschaft an die schöne Türkei.“ Im Video sagt der Botschafter, dass er sieben Jahre seines Lebens in der Türkei verbracht hat.

Er sei in die Türkei erstmals im Jahre 1989 als Student gekommen. Moore wies zudem im Video daraufhin, dass die Aufgabe eines Botschafters es ist, die Interessen seines Landes zu wahren. Weiter vermerkt Moore: „Ich glaube, dass ich das machen konnte. Doch dafür ist es notwendig, dass sie den Gastgeber verstehen und Sympathie für ihn haben.

Ich liebe die Türkei und die Türken sehr.“
