EU-Minister Ömer Çelik in Brüssel

Der türkische Europaminister Ömer Çelik wird am Dienstag zu Gesprächen mit EU-Vertretern in Brüssel sein. Es wird das erste Treffen zwischen der türkischen Regierung und der EU sein, nach dem Entscheid des Europaparlaments, die Beitrittsverhandlungen mit der Türkei einzufrieren.

Çelik trifft dort den Vize-Präsident der EU-Kommission, Frans Timmermans sowie Innenkommissar Dimitris Avramopoulos und Sicherheitskommissar Julian King. Die EU-Kommission bekräftigte am Montag nochmals, sie wolle an dem Flüchtlingsabkommen mit der Türkei festhalten.
